Brand Photography – More Than A Photoshoot
Over the years, I’ve had the ability to do countless one-off shoots with different small business owners. They have always served a particular purpose and were well received, however, I’ve always known that my best work is done when the photoshoot involves design, planning, and creative direction before the actual shoot.
Instead of simply handing off a gallery of random images to a business owner, the brand photography experience includes a deep dive into the very brand that I am making photographs for.
What does the company message say?
What do the company founders want to say?
How should the business be perceived by the outside world?
What visual cues and messages should the business convey through photography?
What feelings, emotions, colors, or manor of appearance do the photographs need to have to accurately depict a brands message?
And one step further – after the images have been received, where should they go and what are the best ways to use them?
More than a photoshoot, the brand photography experience is all about taking the time to strategically build the perfect photoshoot for each unique business. After all, each business is different and requires custom thoughtfulness and care.
